On-going project to capture and document the Chorus utility cabinet art projects around New Zealand, focusing on the Wellington Region.
Chorus spends 100-200K annually on graffiti removal from their utility cabinets across the country; instead of hiring contractors to repaint these boxes, Chorus initiated a programme in conjunction with Resene to engage local artists and schools to paint murals and artworks on these cabinets as way of deterring graffiti.
With over 50 cabinets across the wider Wellington Region, the project hopes to capture and exhibit the digital scans of the cabinets as a way of celebrating local artistry and the ability of the community to have agency of their neighborhoods.
