Joint excursion into 3D-printing ceramics with Industrial Designer, Hamish Morgan, in the Winter of 2019 lead to a series of miniature mugs.
3D-printed ceramics is by no means novel. Artists such as Oliver van Herpt have been popularising the technique since 2014. However, cost and technical hurdles have remained a barrier for many artists, ceramicists and hobbyists.



Digital Mug—through its scale, detail and design—continues existing arguments surrounding technology-as-tool and the role of traditional craft in the future of digital-fabrication.
