OpenArt is a series working with open-source LiDAR data, retrieved from online repository OpenTopography.
There is a huge amount of geo-spatial data from around the world, that can be visualised, manipulated and repurposed. Typically this data is used to for terrain mapping, spatial analysis, surveying and construction. OpenArt explores the potential for this data to be seen as artwork instead, visualizing our cities, landscapes and built environment from perspectives and colours previously unimaginable.
